Bolton’s TVD B2B powers into the electrical contractor market at local Elex debut

Bolton-based AV and electrical distributor TVD B2B is expanding into the UK electrical contractor sector, unveiling its trade-only platform and a broad range of appliances and AV, for electricians at Elex Bolton.

TVD B2B, the proudly Bolton-headquartered distributor of AV, display and electrical technology, is making a landmark move into the UK electrical contractor channel with its first appearance at Elex Show Bolton. Positioning itself as a new local and national trade supplier for electricians looking to expand into higher-value installations and connected technologies, the distributor is exhibiting at an Elex Show for the first time in its 30-year history.

Exhibiting on home turf at Bolton Arena, TVD B2B will showcase how electrical contractors can broaden their service offering beyond core electrical work into televisions, audio systems, networking, digital displays and appliances, all available through the company’s dedicated B2B trade platform. The move marks a significant strategic expansion for the employee-owned business, which is already well established in commercial AV distribution and integration supply.

For electricians attending Elex, TVD B2B is setting out its stall as a nearby, trade-only technology distributor that understands installation realities and supports business growth. By combining appliances, AV and connected systems with trade pricing, fast delivery and no minimum order value, TVD B2B aims to become a practical partner for contractors looking to increase project scope and profitability.

At the centre of the launch is the TVD B2B website, designed specifically for trade installers. Registered electricians gain access to discounted trade pricing across a wide range of residential and commercial technology, from TVs and loudspeakers to fridge-freezers, commercial displays and LED video walls. The platform offers fast, free delivery direct to site, making it equally suited to single-room electrical jobs or full property refurbishments.

For electrical contractors, the proposition adds profitable technology categories to existing projects without supply chain complexity. Whether fitting out a kitchen extension, upgrading a retail unit, or wiring a new-build home, installers can source appliances, AV, and connected systems, alongside electrical components, from a single trade supplier, increasing project value while maintaining installation control.

“Electricians are trusted on site and are often the first trade that clients turn to when they want to add technology to a space,” said Rob Greenlees, Sales Director at TVD B2B. “Our goal is to give them straightforward access to the products and pricing that let

them confidently expand into TV, AV, displays, networking, domestic appliances, and more. It’s about helping contractors grow their own businesses while keeping supply local, reliable and trade-focused.”

The Elex Bolton stand will present a cross-section of TVD B2B’s residential and light-commercial range, demonstrating practical, installable solutions that electricians can readily integrate into everyday projects. From wall-mounted TVs and distributed audio to network infrastructure, the emphasis is on accessible technology that complements electrical installation work rather than complicating it.

Visitors will also be able to register on-site for free access to the TVD B2B trade portal, unlocking weekly special offers and promotional pricing. To mark the launch, all new trade account registrations during the show will be entered into a prize draw, reinforcing the company’s drive to build long-term relationships with electrical contractors across the North West and beyond.

The Bolton debut carries particular significance for TVD B2B as a long-standing local employer and community supporter. The company is employee-owned and a sponsor of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, reflecting its roots in the region and commitment to local industry. Entering the electrical contractor sector at its hometown Elex event underscores that local connection while signalling its national ambitions.

Electrical contractors visiting Elex Bolton are invited to meet the TVD B2B team on stand, explore the trade range and register for access to the TVD B2B platform.
